Sorry if I haven't replied today. I was hoping I was able to this evening but apparently Internet has decided to remain a pain.

About the feline mentioned below: I called the vet this morning and I could pick up some medication this afternoon. So I did in the storm we have right now (hey, when you love your pets like I do; you would to) on my scooter. The pills she gave me are some kind of mild sedative and apparently work very relaxing. We have to start giving them on 12th of December so that he can get trough new years eve and the noise that lasts about a week afterwards here . When we start giving him these pills, the advise was to blow up a small bag or a balloon each day and make it pop with a loud bang. Beginning when he's on another floor and slowly working till close range. That in combination with this medication should allow him to get trough this without being so scared next year. I'll keep you posted on the results. In the mean time: *keeps fingers crossed* Let's pray for the poor kitty that it works so that this is a one time happening. The poor thing has been trough to much before he got here and was able to know how it feels like to be loved for who he is.

Prepare for a tiny rant *grins*

God! New years eve is MORE than a month away and already you get firecrackers thrown at your head! That has been going on for a week now. They know it's forbidden in our country to use any kind of fireworks from a certain day and time till a certain day and time. Trust me: it is forbidden right now!

You can't go out on the street without getting one of those blasted firecrackers thrown at you. And it will only get worse the closer new years eve gets. And to complete the entire situation; we have a two year old feline in the house who is scared beyond believe and thus let's 'everything' (you know what I mean (I hope)) flow and drop whenever he gets the change because he's to scared to crawl out of the bedroom. So... we have a frustrated feline who's scared beyond believe and a frustrated me because I have to clean up constantly behind the poor animal.

Anybody with a suggestion to help the poor thing before he totally freaks out?
